Policy and industry leaders from across Upstate will gather in the Syracuse region for the sixth annual "Energy in the 21st Century" Symposium which features an impressive line-up of speakers. This year's Symposium will focus on key issues associated with the planning, construction, operation, and regulation of the nation's high voltage interstate electric transmission network. Policymakers are preparing to take action on matters involving clean energy development, the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, energy independence, and the reliability and security of electricity supplies, and the investment in the "grid." This Symposium is intended to broaden our understanding of grid operations, planning, facilities siting, finance, development of renewable sources and regulation. The program features:
