ICM Controls, the international manufacturer of energy efficient electronic controls for the Heating, Ventilating and Air Conditioning industry, recently received a High-Performance Building Plaque from NYSERDA for the energy efficiency of its new North Syracuse headquarters/manufacturing facility. The buildings were granted $265,000 in incentives by NYSERDA to feature high-performance windows, lighting systems, an energy efficient heating and cooling system and building envelope insulation. The buildings save ICM Controls 812,000 kilowatt-hours per year, roughly equivalent to the annual energy consumption of 125 single family homes.ICM Controls is one of twenty-nine plaque recipients in New York State that have constructed buildings designed to perform at least 30% above the New York State Energy Conservation Construction Code.
