Washington DC- based Partners for Livable Communities is featuring Syracuse's Chamber of Commerce in its new Economics of Sustainability report, “The Dollars and Sense of Green Business,” made possible by support from the Rockefeller Brothers Fund. The publication -- just out this week -- explores the innovation and leadership by chambers of commerce from around the country, selected by Partners for Livable Communities as champions of the green economy. Eleven organizations nationally are profiled in the report.
Partners for Livable Communities (Partners) received a grant from the Energy Foundation to challenge the notion that economic growth and environmental sustainability are fundamentally at odds with one another, and to showcase innovative programs at the nexus of these agendas. Due to the great success of the initial program, Partners was commissioned by the Rockefeller Brothers Fund to produce this report, showcasing eleven stories from chambers of commerce across the U.S.who are advancing cutting edge green agendas.
The report is available on the Partners’ newly redesigned website: http://www.livable.org/DollarsAndSenseOfGreenBusiness.
